About Alejandro Jassán
He was born in La Rioja, Argentina.
He moved to Buenos Aires where he started his musical studies in the National Music Conservatory.
He enrolled for the career of composition and orchestral conducting in Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA) and privately he studied double bass and piano.
He obtained the “Diplôme Supérieur” in orchestral conducting at l´Ecole Normal de Musique de Paris.
He continued his studies under the guidance of Donato Renzetti, Nicolás Pasquet, Johannes Schlaefli.
In the season 2015/2016, he will start as assistant conductor at Opéra de Massy in France.
Recently, he was invited for the second time to conduct Orquesta Estable de Tucumán (Argentina), this time for the opera “La Fille du Régiment”, Donizetti in Teatro San Martín.
In 2013, made his debut on the North Bohemian Theatre of Opera and Ballet (Czech Republic) with the opera Pagliacci.
During season 2011/2012, he was music and artistic director of “Orquesta Sinfónica Chamartín” in Madrid, which has a permanent concerts season in “Auditorio Nacional de Música”.
He creates among other projects, the first “Anton García Abril” Composition competition, obtaining great success and excellent results. Maestro García Abril himself, was the president of the jury.
In August 2010, made his debut on Estates Theatre in Prague with Mozart s “Die Zauberflöte”
He was one of the conductors of the Antología de la Zarzuela, a show which counts with Plácido Domingo as Honorary President.
In 2013 he creates “Proyecto CONtEMPOcLÁSICO”, a chamber orchestra dedicated to explore strings repertoire.
He is often invited as guest conductor by several opera companies in Spain, always obteining great results and positive reviews.
In 2007 he was finalist of the V Edition of the Concurso Bienal de Jóvenes Directores of the Orquesta Ciudad de Granada.
